Aaron Rodgers Steelers Contract Incentives Explained and It’s All About Winning

Aaron Rodgers just signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and his contract is built to reward one thing: winning.

The base deal sits at $22.5 million, with $22 million fully guaranteed. But the real story is the incentive structure. Rodgers can earn up to $25 million total if the Steelers win the Super Bowl, with $625,000 added for each postseason win, capping the bonus package at $2.5 million.

There is a catch. Rodgers must play at least 75 percent of regular-season snaps to unlock any incentive payments. No snaps threshold, no bonus money.

Last season with the New York Jets, Rodgers had a similar setup, earning $500,000 for hitting 70 percent of snaps and making the playoffs, but leaving the rest of his incentives uncollected.

For Pittsburgh, this deal makes sense either way. They had no clear starting quarterback before this move, and now they do.

Rodgers gets paid to win, or he simply does not.
