The Chicago Bears are adding depth to their roster, signing running back Salvon Ahmed and safety Anthony Johnson Jr., per Jordan Schultz of The Schultz Report.
Ahmed, 27, missed all of last season after suffering a serious ankle injury from a hip-drop tackle during training camp with the Colts. Before that, he spent time on practice squads with both the Broncos and Colts in 2024. His best work came with the Miami Dolphins from 2020 to 2023, where he racked up 593 rushing yards and five touchdowns across 38 games.
Johnson, 26, was a seventh-round Packers pick in 2023 who later landed with the New York Giants. He spent all of last season on the PUP list but brings 29 tackles, one interception, and four passes defensed across 21 career NFL games.
