Browns offensive coordinator Todd Monken is not holding back after a rough OTAs session on Wednesday. Monken called out his quarterbacks for throwing interceptions during 7-on-7 drills, where there is no pass rush, no defensive line, nothing. He said it flat out, telling reporters the picks were embarrassing and questioned who even does that without a rush coming at them.
Monken did not name the specific quarterbacks responsible, keeping things vague while the QB competition heats up. Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders are battling for the Cleveland Browns starting quarterback spot, with Dillon Gabriel and rookie Taylen Green working through backup reps.
As for where the Watson vs Sanders race stands right now, Monken stayed tight-lipped. He has said he hopes to settle the starting quarterback decision before spring wraps up.
Zero pass rushers, still throwing picks. Not a great sign for Cleveland.
