Forza Horizon 6 Hid A Microsoft Teams Notification In Its Car Horns And Office Workers Are Not Okay

Forza Horizon 6 is finally here after a five-year gap between entries, and players are already losing their minds , but not entirely for the reasons you’d expect. Sure, the open-world Japan setting looks stunning, but the real conversation happening right now? A car horn sound effect that is basically a jump scare for anyone who has ever survived a nine-to-five.

Yep, one of the honkable horns in FH6 is literally the Microsoft Teams incoming call sound. That jarring, soul-draining little chime that has haunted remote workers since 2020. And before you ask , yes, this is absolutely intentional. Microsoft publishes the Forza franchise, so someone in that building thought it would be absolutely hilarious to sneak workplace trauma into your weekend gaming session. Respect the chaos, honestly.

The wildest part? This isn’t even new. The Teams horn was already hiding in Forza Horizon 5, and apparently some players weaponized it during pandemic-era races, deliberately honking near opponents just to watch them physically flinch mid-race and lose their concentration. One player on social media described the move as “INCREDIBLE,” and honestly, that’s some next-level psychological warfare we didn’t know motorsport needed.

The reactions to the sound’s return in FH6 have been *chef’s kiss*. Players on social media are describing full-on stress responses , one person said they’d “have a breakdown” if they heard it outside of work hours, and another simply posted “PTSD triggered.” Relatable content across the board.

On a more positive note, the game did actually fix one of the most tedious features from previous Forza Horizon titles. That maddening requirement to physically drive down every single road to hit 100% map exploration? Gone. Now you just need to fully reveal the map, and the Trophy or Achievement is yours. Small mercy, but after the Teams notification jumpscare, we’ll take it.

Forza Horizon 6 really said: here’s beautiful virtual Japan, here’s a car collection, and here’s a reminder that your 3pm standup meeting starts in five minutes.
