Jerry Jones refused to install curtains at AT&T Stadium when Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb complained about sun glare during NFL games. Jones fired back hard, saying the team already knows where the sun sits and sarcastically suggested tearing the whole stadium down instead.
Then FIFA asked. Jones said yes immediately.
A FIFA spokesperson confirmed blackout curtains will be used during at least one early-evening World Cup 2026 match at AT&T Stadium, which is hosting nine games total. Jones, who bent over backwards to accommodate soccer’s governing body, did not hesitate.
That is the same Jones who mocked his own player for making the exact same request.
The AT&T Stadium World Cup hosting news has been generating buzz, but this detail cuts differently. Cowboys fans and NFL observers are already clocking the double standard, and CeeDee Lamb now has every right to borrow Jones’s own words straight back at him.
