Bob Odenkirk is done playing conmen. The Better Call Saul star is now on the right side of the law in his new project Normal, and he’s got a lot on his mind beyond acting.
In a recent fan Q&A, Odenkirk got real about life, politics, and the limits of comedy. When asked if satire is more powerful than political spin, he was blunt: political satire is helpful, sure, but it nowhere near matches the raw force of political hogwash. He pointed to what’s happening in the US right now as proof.
On the bigger existential stuff, he admitted he still has questions but suspects humanity ends up exactly where Douglas Adams landed. Wherever that is, it sounds like he’s made peace with the absurdity.
From Saul Goodman to sharp social critic, Odenkirk keeps proving he’s one of the most interesting voices in Hollywood right now.
