Netflix is going live every single morning, and Charlamagne Tha God is leading the charge. Starting June 1, the streaming giant will broadcast The Breakfast Club daily to subscribers worldwide, making it the platform’s first ever live daily show.
The deal is a partnership between Netflix and iHeartMedia, bringing one of hip hop radio’s most iconic morning shows to a global streaming audience. Fans can tune in weekdays at 6 a.m. for the full live experience, straight from New York.
This is a massive move for Netflix, which has been pushing harder into live content after streaming events like the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing match and live NFL games. Adding a daily morning show is a whole different commitment, locking in a consistent live programming slot every weekday.
Charlamagne just turned morning radio into a Netflix original.
