Prashanth Neel is setting the record straight about Dragon, his upcoming action film starring Jr NTR. The director calls it his biggest patriotic movie attempt yet, raising the stakes well beyond anything he has done before.
Dragon is targeting a June 2027 release date, giving Neel time to deliver something massive on screen. Once filming wraps, he confirmed that Salaar 2 goes straight into production, meaning Prabhas fans have something real to hold onto.
Neel also opened up about his long-term plans, revealing he eventually wants to move away from large-scale action films and shift toward mythological stories instead. That is a major creative pivot for a director best known for the KGF franchise and Salaar.
For now though, Jr NTR and Dragon are the full focus, and Prashanth Neel sounds like a man with a lot to prove.
