Samsung is officially building open-ear earbuds and the leaks keep stacking up. A new report out of South Korea backs earlier renders and database references, confirming the Galaxy Buds Able are real and coming.
The Buds Able use a clip-style design that hooks onto the ear without sealing the ear canal, so you hear your music and the world around you at the same time. Samsung is going with air-conduction technology here, not bone conduction, promising better sound quality, less ear fatigue, and improved hygiene compared to traditional in-ear buds.
This marks Samsung’s first serious push into open-ear audio since the Galaxy Buds Live, and puts them in direct competition with HUAWEI, Bose, Sony, and Anker, all of which already have clip-style options on shelves.
No release date or price has been confirmed yet, but Samsung is clearly done letting rivals own this space alone.
