Globle Answer May 21 Just Broke Players and the Internet Has Thoughts

Vietnam. That’s it. That’s the answer.

If you’ve been staring at a slowly darkening globe for the last twenty minutes trying to remember which Southeast Asian countries border which, first of all, same. Second of all, today’s Globle had people working for it , and honestly, fair enough.

For the uninitiated: Globle is basically Wordle’s geography-obsessed cousin who actually paid attention in school. You guess a country, the globe lights up warmer the closer you get, and unlike Wordle, you get unlimited guesses. No six-attempt clock ticking over your head. Just you, your patchy memory of a world map, and whatever pride you’ve staked on keeping your streak alive.

Today’s answer , Vietnam , is one of those picks that feels obvious in hindsight and absolutely brutal in the moment. The capital is Hanoi. It starts with a V. It’s in Southeast Asia. All clues that should’ve gotten you there. But if you came in swinging with Brazil or Nigeria as your opener (a legitimate strategy for carving up the map early), you were going to spend some time wandering.

The smartest play in Globle has always been to start big and spread wide , large countries across different continents so you can rule out entire hemispheres fast. Think Russia, Brazil, Australia, Nigeria as your first four guesses. You’re not trying to get lucky early, you’re trying to collapse the map. Once you’ve got a hot zone, that’s when you zoom in.

Past answers have included Mauritius, Burundi, Slovakia, and Sierra Leone , which tells you this game is not here to go easy on you. It will send you to a landlocked central African nation on a Tuesday morning with zero remorse.

Vietnam is actually one of the more recognizable answers the game’s thrown out recently, which either means you got it in five guesses or you’re reading this because you completely blanked on Southeast Asian geography and needed a lifeline. No judgment. The world is large and geography class was a long time ago.

New puzzle drops tomorrow. May your opener be strategic and your instincts be better than mine.
