Robert De Niro’s Trump Epstein Joke on Colbert’s Late Show Is Going Viral

Robert De Niro just landed one of the sharpest punches of Stephen Colbert’s Late Show farewell week. Appearing on the penultimate episode on May 20, the Raging Bull star swapped seats with Colbert and turned a classic segment into a political gut punch.

When Colbert revealed his long-running mystery number was three, De Niro fired back that he expected the answer to be 2.5 million, cracking that was the number of Epstein files Trump still has not released. The crowd went wild.

De Niro has been one of Trump’s most vocal celebrity critics for years. He appeared visibly emotional earlier this year urging Americans to resist the current administration, calling the situation “sick” and “fucked up.” Trump responded by calling De Niro a “demented” person who deserved deportation.

Bruce Springsteen also took a shot at Trump during Colbert’s final week. The Late Show ends with a packed guest list including Jon Stewart, David Byrne and Steven Spielberg.

Late night television is going out swinging.
